About sixty three years ago, Alexander Shilton founded a handbag company in London. Alex was called to active service, and the factory was seconded to make gas masks and despite being bombed four times, it survived under the capable management of Alex’s secretary, Jane. When Alex returned home, not only did he marry Jane, but he named the company Jane Shilton. Jane Shilton has continued to prosper, thanks to the fine quality, design and good value that Jane Shilton is known for here and abroad. The Carriage collection is a staple of the Jane Shilton brand.
